The meeting is being organised by Ampath Pathology Laboratories, in conjunction with the Department of Anatomical Pathology, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Pretoria. The venue, Kwa Maritane Conference Centre, is located in the majestic, malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park, one of the world’s largest alkaline ring volcanic complexes, which spans 55,000 hectares and was formed some 1300 million years ago.
Bushpath 2024 is an HPCSA, CPD-accredited course that endeavors to benefit anatomical pathology trainees, qualified pathologists, as well as gastroenterologists, and any other health professionals seeking to broaden their understanding of gastrointestinal pathology. The course will offer practical, “hands-on”, didactic lectures (supplemented by any relevant ancillary testing and molecular pathology), educational case presentations, and live digital microscope sessions, covering the entire spectrum of neoplastic and non-neoplastic pathology of the tubular gut. The course will also offer ample time for questions, discussion, and interaction with the faculty. Delegates are further welcome to bring their challenging cases for expert review and group discussion during the course.
